As a little girl, Jeanine always loved crafting! The joy and sense of satisfaction she got from giving out handmade gifts spurred the little craft-ster to keep creating…

At the young age of 16, she persuaded her Mom to teach her the basics of knitting and crochet; not something girls her age were into. At the age of 17, she was confident that her handmade accessories were good enough to be worn and sent a handful to SEVENTEEN MAGAZINE.

Her creations were first featured in the August 2003 issue.

Not long after, she started an online blog shop, The Weekend Designer. The name was self-explanatory, while pursuing her diploma in Hospitality Management and working part-time at The Ritz Carlton, Jeanine only had time to get creative on weekends.

Jeanine’s designs were featured in SEVENTEEN MAGAZINE again in October 2006.

And later in SOT MAGAZINE in June 2007.

When she graduated and moved on to a full-time events job, it got harder to keep her online shop going, and she started to design even late at night on weekdays after getting home from work.
“When people buy my creations and tell me how much they love it, it makes me happy, and that’s what inspires me to keep designing!”
In May 2007, Jeanine decided to purchase her own online domain, and began to venture deeper into her craft, importing materials from all over the world.
“I enjoy working with unique materials, I like things that are different, I like making things that will make people happy.”
In the past few years, Jeanine has pushed her creativity to extremes, and during an E-business Event held in 2008, she was selected to be interviewed by local Chinese newspaper, Lian He Zao Bao.

Jeanine loves creating custom orders as it makes the product that much more personal. She creates a very varied range of accessories, from cute and quirky to polished and sophisticated. You’ll find something to complement every outfit!

Everything is carefully and lovingly handmade by Jeanine herself.
